A public meeting will be held in Dunkineely at the end of the month to discuss this year’s Killaghtee Festival
The meeting will take place at 7:30pm, 26th April, at a location to be confirmed.
“We are having an open meeting for local residents and fans to put forward their ideas on what we should do at the festival,” a committee spokesperson said.
“Because of last year’s success we will once again be keeping it ‘unique’ by combining local heritage (history and nature), wellbeing and art.”
If you want to go that step further and volunteer for the Festival Committee, contact us at dunkineelycommunity@gmail.com
Feng Shui
We will shortly be looking to run a course on Feng Shui.
Feng Shui is the ancient art of space arrangement that optimises living and working environments to promote well-being.
It reproduces within homes elements of the natural world that signal to our deeper mind that we are living in safety, harmony and abundance.
In this practical six week course, local Feng Shui consultant Katie North will guide you, room by room through the home, exploring some key Feng Shui principles. You’ll learn simple ways in which you can apply them to your own space to elevate your everyday living.
You’ll learn about: Origins of Feng Shui; Room Layout; Enhancing life areas; Furniture Placement; Harmonising Colours, Shapes and Materials; 5 Elements Theory; Chi (Energy) Flow and Symbolism.
The course can only be run if we have sufficient numbers, so register your interest now at dunkineelycommunity@gmail.com

Beach Cleans
Our 2023 Beach Cleans will begin on 22 nd April at 1pm. We will start at the Brenter Shore.
To get there, head towards Donegal town from Dunkineely and take the first right to Brenter. At the next junction you will see a path heading to the beach. Gloves, pickers and bags will be provided. Just bring some good footwear and maybe a sandwich. Who will brave crossing the river?
The late Brendan (Dessie) Gallagher
