Finn Valley AC’s Sinead McConnell was back among the medals at the World Masters Championships in Poland today.
The Donegal athlete produced a brilliant performance to take silver in the 10k walk event, finishing in a time of 56.08 – a new Irish Masters record.
And in a double success, Sinead was the lead athlete for the Irish team which took team bronze.
The Castlefin woman’s performance follows her bronze medal success in the 3k walk on Tuesday.
Meanwhile Kathryn McDevitt of Letterkenny AC failed to advance from her W40 200m semi-final on Friday.
But she goes again on Saturday, this time in the relay event.
