The Minister for Education, Norma Foley, is visiting a number of Donegal schools today.
She was due in Creeslough this morning to officially open a new extension at Scoil Mhuire.
The Minister will travel to Stranorlar in the afternoon where she is due to cut the ribbon on the newly completed St Mary’s National School.
The Minister has been coming under mounting pressure recently due to the deferral of works at almost 60 schools across the country, including Donegal.
A delegation from Gaelscoil na gCeithre Máistrí, in Donegal town, is hoping to make a presentation to her. Consisting of prefabs, it has been waiting on the school building programme for 12 years.
