There is much sadness across Letterkenny and beyond following the death of Letterkenny woman Eilish Sweeney (nee Conaghan).
Eilish was in her 97th year and passed away in the care of her loving family at her home at 54, Ard O’Donnell, Letterkenny, (F92 WCN5).
Predeceased by her beloved husband William, daughter Collettee and son-in-law Jim Archibald, sadly missed by her family, sons Andy (Dublin), Hughie (Letterkenny), Mark (Perth) and Colm (Letterkenny), daughters Geraldine Durning and Janice Archibald (Letterkenny), 15 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, sister Noreen O’Boyle (Breenagh), daughters-in-law Mary, Moira, Anne and Michelle, son-in-law John, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Eilish will be remembered as one of the funniest and kindest people.
Her remains will repose at her late residence with Rosary each night at 9pm.
Funeral from there on Monday, 27th March, going to St. Eunan’s Cathedral for 11am Requiem Mass which can be viewed online by using the link https://www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny followed by burial in the family plot in Conwal Cemetery.
