There was little to cheer for the Donegal supporters who made the trip to MacCumhaill Park in Ballybofey for today’s Allianz National Football League Division One meeting with Mayo.
The visitors were full value for their 1-17 to 0-09 victory, a result which keeps them top of the table.
In contrast, Donegal’s troubles show no sign of easing – this defeat means they are now all but guaranteed to be playing Division Two football next season.
