Donegal jockey Martin Harley, who is recovering from a serious neck injury, said he hopes to be back in the saddle in the coming months.
The Trentagh man suffered a horrible injury after a fall in Australia which resulted in a number of neck fractures.
Harley moved to Queensland near the end of last year and suffered a heavy tumble in a race at Doomben in early January.
Despite the injuries, the Royal Ascot-winning rider is fortunate to have avoided any spinal cord damage and he will not require surgery.
He told World Horse Racing earlier today that he will be wearing a ‘halo’ brace for another six weeks, but hopes to be ‘ready to go’ shortly after.
