ATU Donegal Ladies Gaelic footballers are through to Saturday’s Lynch Cup final after an impressive semi-final win over DCU in this afternoon’s semi final.
ATU Donegal . . . 4-17, DCU . . . 3-7
Barney Curran’s side will play University College Cork in the decider after they came through their all-Cork semi-final against MTU.
The games are part of a busy weekend of colleges action at the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence in Mayo.
ATU Donegal, who won the Quill Cup back in November, are chasing a double success. They were drawn to play DCU seconds in Friday’s semi-final and found themselves trailing by a point at the break, 2-5 to 1-7.
However, they took control of the game after half-time and ran out comfortable winners in the end with 13 points to spare.
