After dedicating 22 years of his life to Ballyraine National School, Principal David Oliver is taking a well-earned break and beginning an exciting new chapter of retirement.
Mr Oliver’s tenure has been marked by numerous achievements and developments including the opening of a major new extension in 2021. Under his leadership, Ballyraine NS enhanced its special needs education provision, introduced a new library, new sensory trail and a sensory garden.
Through innovation and mentorship, Mr Oliver guided his team to inspire countless students to achieve their full potential and make a great impact on the community.
Staff, the parents association and board of management members gathered for a reception on Wednesday to mark Mr Oliver’s retirement. A special presentation was made to David and his wife, Heather, to say thank you for their years of dedicating to the school community.
Congratulations were also extended to Linda Moore, who takes over the role of Principal.
