Former James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan was welcomed to Nancy’s Bar in Ardara yesterday for a drink, perhaps shaken, not stirred!
Locals couldn’t believe it when the famous visitor walked through the door on Tuesday evening.
Pierce had been filming the new Irish romantic drama, Four Letters of Love, nearby.
But later on, he looked right at home at the bar of Nancy’s alongside owner Charlie McHugh.

Scenes for Four Letters of Love are being shot this month in some of Donegal’s most scenic locations, including Dunlewey, Dunfanaghy beach and Glenveagh National Park.
Pierce Brosnan plays the father of a young man who falls in love with a girl through a combination of fate and true love.
Four Letters of Love, based on the best-selling novel by Niall Williams, also stars Helena Bonham Carter and Gabriel Byrne along with Normal People star Fionn O’Shea, who will play a character named Nicholas, and Ann Skelly (The Nevers). The film shoot began on the north coast of Co Antrim, before moving to Donegal in March.
When the cameras aren’t rolling, Mr Brosnan has been enjoying his time off touring Donegal and meeting with locals. The star was spotted out and about in Downings on Saturday, looking dapper in Donegal tweed from the nearby McNutt mill.
