The Donegal Town community made a ‘song and dance’ about their newest centenarian yesterday as Mrs Pat Cox marked her 100th birthday.
Mrs Cox, of St. Joseph’s Ave, got a musical surprise from the Donegal Town Community Band to celebrate her big day.
The band marched to Pat’s doorstep in full flow, before performing a fantastic rendition of Happy Birthday among other upbeat tunes.
Thanks to Donegal Online for the video:
Born on 4th March 1923, Pat was joined by her two sons Paul and John, extended family, close neighbours and friends for the neighbourhood party. Her son Des was unable to attend.
Cllr. Tom Conaghan, Mayor Pauric Kennedy and Fr. James Gillespie also joined in the celebrations.
It was a day to remember, all thanks to Sean Mc Ginty for organising the surprise.
Happy Birthday Pat!
