Donegal Local Development CLG (DLDC) are now inviting applications for the position of Administration Support – Sláintecare Healthy Communities.
The role is Part-time, 1.5 days per week (10.5 hours). This is a fixed term contract that is expected to continue until 31 December 2023, and is subject to funding. The postholder will work closely with the Community Food and Nutrition Worker, located in the Donegal Town Office. Previous working experience in an administrative role, preferably 2-3 years experience.
The Sláintecare administrator will support the Sláintecare team within DLDC to deliver the Sláintecare Healthy Communities Programme which provides specific health and wellbeing services in the North West Donegal Gaeltacht. The aim of the programme is to support people’s wellbeing and to help improve and promote healthier lifestyle behaviours. Reporting to the Community Food & Nutrition Worker, the administrator will play a supportive role in the co-ordination of the ‘Healthy Food Made Easy’ and ‘We Can Quit’ programmes and reporting of data collection. The post holder will also be responsible for the production and maintenance of administration Sláintecare records.

Conditions of Work
The postholder will work closely with the Community Food and Nutrition Worker, located in the Donegal Town Office. A probationary period of at least six months will apply. Performance in role will be discussed throughout the term. This is a fixed term contract that is expected to continue until 31 December 2023, and is subject to funding. Salary for the role will be at administration level salary – prorated 10.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
Financial and Administration support
- Provide assistance to the Sláintecare team on administration issues
- Maintain a transparent filing system, maintaining and inspecting all files ensuring that all relevant materials are held
- Maintain compliance with administration procedures which are in keeping with guidance from the programme, file management and administration
- Support the Sláintecare Community Food & Nutrition Worker in producing reports, papers, proposals, documentation as required
- Take routine direction from the Community Food & Nutrition Worker
Programme administration Support
- To support the Community Food & Nutrition Worker in administration related to the programme • Support with general communication including calls, emails, letters, promotions, etc
- Sourcing and visiting venues throughout the region
- Scheduling of programmes, venues and facilitators
- Organisation and procurement of programme resources
- Registration of participants and collation of data
- Updating and uploading data on all projects
- Preparation of expenditure schedules, cashflow projections, spend and other financial reports for presentation to the Sláintecare Case Manager
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly reports and returns as required
- Assist in the provision of an efficient and effective secretariat to Sláintecare, minute taking and production of minutes and financial reports
- Maintain all records in the manner required (files, databases, etc) to record activity and overall programme outcomes
- Support activity such as digital marketing/social media within the team
Personal Requirements
- Have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, and all Microsoft software
- Previous working experience in an administrative role, preferably 2-3 years experience. • A high understanding of the fundamentals of administration
- An understanding of a business payment process
- Ability to collect, organise and analyse data, having a systemic approach to solving problems • Have the ability to work on own initiative and/or as part of a team
- Full clean drivers license and own transport as successful candidate will be going out to the workshop locations on occasion.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Fluency in the Irish language is desirable
