The inquest of a woman who was killed in east Donegal has been adjourned until the outcome of a murder trial.
Model Jasmine McMonagle, aged 28, died at her home at Forest Park, Killygordon on January 4th, 2019
Her partner, Richard Burke (27), from Donegal town, has since been charged with her murder.
Her inquest was opened in 2019 but closed again.
On that occasion Coroner Dr Denis McCauley told the inquest that a post mortem had been carried out on the body of Ms McMonagle which found that she died from cerebral anoxia (a lack of oxygen to the brain.)
The inquest was again mentioned at the Coroner’s Court held at Letterkenny Courthouse today.
Garda Sergeant Pauline O’Connor applied under Section 25/2 of the Coroner’s Act to have the inquest adjourned again.
Dr McCauley said he understood the trial into Jasmine’s murder was due to take place in Monaghan next month.
After a decision in the case is reached, Dr McCauley said he will decide on a future inquest into Ms McMonagle’s death.
The inquest was adjourned until September 6th.
