Shane Blaney helped Motherwell to victory on his debut as they kept a clean sheet to advance in the Scottish Cup.
The Letterkenny man played the full 90 minutes as his side won 2-0 against Championship club Arbroath in the fourth round of the competition.
Blaney, who plays in the centre of defence, joined the club earlier this month who sit 9th in the Scottish Premiership, just three points off bottom club Ross County.
The 24-year-old impressed against his new club when scoring a superb free-kick against them in the UEFA Conference League Qualifying Round for Sligo Rovers.
Motherwell made it to the quarter-final of the Scottish Cup last season and will be hoping to improve on that this year.
