St Eunan’s GAA Club has confirmed it will officially name the main stand at O’Donnell Park after Dr James McDaid.
The Termon native allocated substantial funding to the development while he was Minister for Sport from 1997-2002. He has also been the club doctor for a long number of years.
“Looking forward to this happening in a few weeks time,” club chairman John Haran posted on Twitter.
“Deserved recognition for a great man who gave so much, not just to St Eunan’s, but the people of Letterkenny and Donegal both as a GP and politician.”
