Mona McSharry set a new Irish record as she won three gold medals at the TYR Pro Swim Series in Tennessee.
McSharry broke her own Irish record in the 50m breaststroke as she won the gold medal in a time of 30.56, beating her previous best of 30.87.
A graduate of the Marlins Swimming Club in Ballyshannon, the Grange native also took gold in two other events.
Her time of 2:26.34 in the 200m breaststroke was well ahead of Alexis Yager (2:30.17) and Sophie Angus (2:30.68) in second and third place respectively.
McSharry took her first gold of the meet in the 100m breaststroke, finishing in 1:06.80, ahead of Miranda Tucker, who was also second to her in the 50m breaststroke.
McSharry is in her third year at the University of Tennessee and has started 2023 with a bang.
