Major plans to extend luxurious Donegal hotel

Planning permission is being sought for a major extension to one of Donegal’s most luxurious hotels.

The proposed two-storey development at the Lough Eske Castle Hotel will include 24 ‘suites’ and four bedrooms.

At present, it boasts 97 spacious rooms, the Lake Lodge – a private two-bedroom residence – and the awarding winning CARA Organic Beauty Spa.

Last month, the team at Lough Eske Castle celebrated the 15th anniversary of its opening in 2007.

Currently, it employs 207 staff, seven of whom have been on property since it first opened.
