Road users are being urged to drive with caution this morning due to fallen debris and flooding on some routes after last night’s storm.
“Motorists are advised to drive with care as there is a lot of surface water on all roads as a result of the heavy rainfall,” a spokesperson for Donegal County Council said.
The N56 in the townland of Carrowcannon, Falcarragh, was closed due to serious flooding.
A fallen tree (pictured) was also blocking the Long Brae Road in Castlefin.
There had been a number of incidents as an Orange Wind Alert remained in place until 8pm.
Donegal County Council’s emergency telephone line is 0749172288.
