Caolan McFadden will travel to Scotland this weekend to compete in the Inter District Cross Country Championships and UK Cross Challenge.
The Cranford AC athlete will compete in the Under-17s event at the meeting at the Scone Palace Grounds in Perth.
McFadden landed National gold on home soil in November, winning the Under-16 boys event at the National Cross Country Championships at the Rosapenna Golf Course.
He won in a time of 12:35, just ahead of Francis Donoghue in second, with the pair enjoying a brilliant battle the whole way until the last 200 metres when McFadden kicked for home.
McFadden’s race is scheduled for 12.35pm on Saturday 14th January.
