Stephen McLaughlin made the League Two Team of the Week for his performance at the weekend against Barrow.
The Isle of Doagh native scored the opening goal for his Mansfield side in their 3-2 defeat to Barrow on Saturday.
McLaughlin scored a free-kick after nine minutes before fellow Irishman Stephen Quinn made it 2-0. Billy Waters got one back for Barrow before half-time while Josh Gordon completed the comeback and an Oliver Hawkins own goal gave the away side the win.
Mansfield currently sit in ninth place in the league, just outside the play-off places on goal difference.
The Nigel Clough managed side suffered disappointment in the play-offs last year, losing the final 3-0 to Port Vale at Wembley.
It was a first goal of the season for the Donegal man, who hasn’t hit the same heights as last season, when he won The Staggies’ Player of the Season Award.
The former Finn Harps and Derry City player was given a two year contract in the summer for his performances.
