One of Donegal’s NCT centres recorded the lowest pass rate in the country in 2022.
Test results at the Derrybeg centre fall short of the national pass rates, with just 40% of vehicles passing inspection.
Letterkenny is also low on the list of 49 centres created by the Irish Independent. The pass rate in Letterkenny last year was 46.36% for 2022, the sixth lowest in the country.
The Carndonagh centre pass rate is 48.2% while the rate in Donegal Town is more in line with the national average at 51.05%.
Car owners in Deansgrange in Dublin were most likely to see their cars pass the NCT with a success rate of 62.65%.
The latest list has uncovered a ‘deep regional divide’ between centres in Ulster and Connacht compared to Munster and Leinster.
