Romance was almost in top gear for a car-mad Donegal girl on First Dates Ireland last night.
Sorcha Little, 25, seemed to have found her perfect match on the RTE2 reality show when she was paired with auto detailer Colm (28) from Dublin.
Classy Car Girl Sorcha had signed up for the programme after growing tired of players in Donegal. She chanced her first-ever blind date on TV in the hope of finding someone with a similar passion for cars.
And it appeared as though matchmakers had got it right from the standing start. Sorcha and Colm bonded over the Donegal rally, Toyotas, and getting their hands dirty under the chassis!
Colm said that he liked Sorcha’s cute smile and her great craic personality. The pair agreed to meet again at a car show, but as the programme credits rolled, it emerged that they shifted into neutral.
Earlier this morning RTE2 released updates from the daters since the series was filmed. Colm had a lot to share about his car gear boxes, but also revealed he’s on the road to Australia for a brand new start.
Another couple on First Dates Ireland’s opening show has been praised for putting the spotlight on domestic violence.
Mary (71) from Galway was on a date with old school romantic Garry (73) from Wexford when she opened up about an abusive relationship she endured in her previous marriage.
Mary was praised by viewers as a ‘warrior’ for bravery sharing the journey that many other people suffer in silence.
