Paddy Carr has named his first Donegal side as manager for their McKenna Cup opening game against Down.
Donegal travel to Páirc Esler to take on a Down side that began their McKenna Cup campaign under new manager Conor Laverty with a 2-10 to 0-12 win over 2022 winners Monaghan.
Michael Lynch of Gaoth Dobhair will be between the posts while Red Hugh’s Stephen McMenamin, Brendan McCole of St. Naul’s and Termon’s Jamie Grant make up the full back line.
Caolan McColgan of Naomh Padraig is alongside Caolan Ward of St Eunan’s and Naomh Conaill’s Jeaic Mac Ceallabhuí.
The midfield pairing consists of Rory O’Donnell from Milford and Caolan McGonigle of Buncrana.
Glenfin’s Luke McGlynn makes his debut alongside Naomh Conaill’s Ciaran Thompson and Carndonagh’s Conor O’Donnell in the half forward line, while Bundoran’s Jamie Brennan, Patrick McBrearty of Kilcar and Gaoth Dobhair’s Daire Ó Baoill are the full forward line.
