If you missed the Golden Grill reunion in Letterkenny at Christmas, or you just want to hit the dancefloor again, we have good news for you!
The reunion disco is returning for Easter Saturday 2023, and tickets go on sale this Saturday. See below for details.
Townies flocked to the Station House Hotel on Friday 30th December to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the iconic nightclub. The over-50s night was hailed a great success, with music from DJ Marty McIntyre keeping the dancefloor filled with all the best 80s hits. The party gave guests from home and away a chance to reconnect after an incredible four decades since the original dances and sausage suppers on the Port Road.
The Grill nightclub may be closed now, but last week’s reunion recreated the atmosphere and craic that made the dances so legendary.
“It was like we all stepped back in time and never got old,” said one organiser.
“The dance floor never emptied. We had two slow sets and a packed floor, proving romance is still there all those years later.
“You could seriously feel the love and happiness in the room that night, it made us all so proud to be from Letterkenny.”
The night was such a success that the organisers were immediately asked to do another one. So the date has been set for April 8th, Easter Saturday, at the Station House Hotel again with DJ Marty back on the decks. If you missed the Christmas event, be sure to get your tickets early to avoid disappointment. Victor Fisher will be on the door again and sharp as ever, so please ensure you have a ticket for guaranteed entry.
Tickets will go on sale this Saturday 7th January at the Station House Hotel Reception and from Brian Wilson’s Heel 2 Toe shop on Main Street. Tickets: €10 per person (not including supper this time).
