It was a case of ‘better late than never’ for members at Otway Golf Club, Rathmullan, on Monday when the Christmas hampers Stableford competition was finally held.
The pre-Christmas competition had to be postponed due to snow and ice in the run up to the holidays. But two days into 2023 and three club members have some great hampers from Kernan’s EuroSpar to get them through January!
Michael Crossan bagged the No1 spot in the 18-hole men’s competition, with Kevin McLaughlin landing himself some festive hamper cheer after taking the runners-up spot. Caitriona McClafferty was in fine form to win the ladies 9-hole competition.
The club would like to thank Kernan’s EuroSpar for sponsoring the excellent hampers and Declan McAteer for sponsoring the spot prizes on the day. We would also like to wish everyone a very happy 2023.
