Met Éireann has issued a Yellow (moderate) rainfall warning for Donegal tonight.
The heavy rain will cause some localised flooding, the national Meteorological Service said.
The warning is valid from 10pm tonight until 8AM tomorrow morning.
Other affected areas include Cavan, Connacht and Longford.
The UK met office has also issued a yellow rain warning for counties Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry.
Heavy rain is likely, bringing flooding and travel disruption in places.
The warning comes into effect at midnight and will remain in place until 10am tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile, Met Éireann has issued a yellow wind warning for counties Dublin, Wexford, Wicklow, Galway, Kerry and Waterford.
Strong and gusty south to southwest winds are expected, especially near coasts and on high ground.
The alert will be in place from 10pm until 7am tomorrow.
