Christmas Event
What a night! With free hot chocolate, sausage rolls and mince pies (and some mulled wine) flowing, we all had a great night at DCL’s Dunkineely Big Christmas Event.
Postponed from the previous week, due to weather, the decision was taken to hold it inside the Dunkineely Community Centre, where it was warm and Christmassy.
We were all treated to some Christmas songs, both traditional and fun from the Bruckless Choir. With a great rendition of Jingle Bells by the choir and all the kids.
And let’s not forget the big man himself and his elves. Santa arrived to say hello to each of the kids and hand out some early stocking fillers.
“It was a wonderful night, with real community spirit” – Janet Deane (Chair of DCL)
A big thank you to Santa, his elves, Dunkineely Community Centre for donating their time and main hall to the event, to Stella, Janet and Kathleen for baking, to the choir for entertainment and to everyone else involved.
