Fergus McGee says it’s a great honour and a privilege as he was named the new chairman of the Donegal County Board.
The St.Eunan’s clubman was voted in, winning 87-77 over Buncrana’s Paul McGonigle in a close race to succeed Mick McGrath.
“It’s very dear to me to be back in Donegal, I’ve been a GAA man all my life, I was always a supporter of our language and our games, so to be in a position to lead a good committee and see is there anything we can do better.
“The promise I made tonight is that I’ll do all that I can, it won’t be my fault for the want of trying.”
