Style icon Sarah Jessica Parker is putting Donegal design in the spotlight after wearing a local brand’s stunning coat on the set of And Just Like That…
SJP, aka Carrie Bradshaw, stepped out in a Triona Design coat in New York City this week while filming the second series of the Sex and the City spin-off.
With Carrie’s wardrobe having worldwide influence, the team at Triona are jumping for joy to see their ‘Faye’ double-breasted mac on the actress.

Sarah Jessica Parker is a big fan of Donegal Tweed and Irish design, as she has shown through the years, and it will be a major boost for Triona to have their clothing featured alongside the world’s high-end fashion labels that are so often celebrated on the programme.
It’s likely that the actress picked up the coat during her family’s recent holiday to southwest Donegal. Over the years SJP has visited both of the Triona Design stores in Donegal Town and the visitor centre in Ardara.
SJP and her husband Matthew Broderick have their own home-away-from-home in coastal Kilcar, where they love to escape to for rural breaks from Hollywood and city life. SJP has spent some of her time here promoting Donegal tweed and Irish design on Instagram, including the nearby Studio Donegal.
The Triona Design team said they were delighted to welcome SJP to their store on the Diamond in Donegal Town during the summer. The ‘Faye’ double breasted mac is a contemporary take on a classic style, and is crafted from the highest quality Donegal tweed, made from 100% lambswool which has been locally sourced.
“The reaction to the Faye Coat has been overwhelming! SJP has expressed her love and appreciation for Donegal and local businesses and we are so grateful to Sarah Jessica for giving our small family run Donegal business an iconic platform and for the opportunity to be styled on the show amongst the top fashion brands in the world.”
The good news is that the flattering coat is still available to buy on trionadesign.com, but now that SJP is setting a trend with Donegal fashion in NYC, it could soon sell out… just like that!
