Moville Tidy Towns has received a national Bronze Medal award for the second year in succession.
Volunteers from the hardworking committee attended the national Tidy Towns competition awards ceremony last week at the RDS in Dublin.
The judges commended the group for their shoreside open spaces and collaboration with a wide range of local organisations.
“We were delighted to retain our Bronze medal for the town,” a committee spokesperson said.
They also took the opportunity to thank Councillor Martin Farren for his ongoing support, The Cosy Cottage & Barrons Cafe for their hospitality, Moville Community College Students & Staff, the Gentlemen of Clarke’s Place, Boyce Paints & Moville Tool Hire for their ongoing discounts for Tidy Town work, Tuas Worker Paddy Jo Breslin, Community Employment Scheme Workers and The Corner Bar for sponsoring this year’s gardening competition.
“We would also like to thank all the local volunteers, residents and businesses that contributed to this great achievement.”
“As always, we welcome new volunteers, ideas and sponsorship for future projects.”
