An ambitious Killybegs man enjoyed national promotion for his mobile barbershop on last night’s Late Late Show.
The chat show’s annual local business special celebrated exciting new businesses and products.
And Gary Byrne didn’t ‘fade’ into the background during a segment on innovative start-ups!
Gary, a former musician and barber, told Tubs how he lost two jobs overnight when Covid-19 hit. But he decided to seize the opportunity to become a travelling barber in his own impressive custom van.
Gary’s ‘Killybegs Klipper’ business took off and now services the entire south west Donegal area.
The entrepreneur also makes his own products to ensure his customers stay looking dapper between cuts.
Gary’s inspirational story was one of many shared on the Late Late’s ‘Taking Care of Business Special’, featuring Irish businesses and Christmas gift ideas.
After many congratulatory comments from customers and family, Gary issued a big thanks for all the well wishes he received ahead of the show, saying it was a great experience and he’ll be back to work today!
