Given that a Status Orange Marine warning will be in place from 6am tomorrow, there is potential the Yellow wind and rain warning may escalate to Orange in Donegal.
That was the start message from Donegal County Council tonight.
“The public are being asked to be extra vigilant along coastal areas and on Islands off the coast of Donegal,” a council spokesperson told Donegal Daily tonight.
“Donegal County Council’s Severe Weather Assessment Team is keeping the approaching weather pattern under review and will continue to monitor all local conditions during this period of unsettled weather.”
Met Éireann earlier issued a Status Yellow weather warning for wind and rain for Ireland from 4am until 9pm tomorrow.
There has also been a Status Orange Marine warning issued, which is valid from 6am tomorrow until midnight.
