Alcohol abuse, depression and a marriage breakup are just some of the issues addressed in a new autobiography on the life of Donegal GAA legend Anthony Molloy.
‘Anthony Molloy, A Memoir on Life, Glory and Demons’ was launched in The Blue Haven, Kilcar, on Friday night.
Published by Hero Books, it tells the story of the rise of Donegal’s first All-Ireland captain but also the ‘painful descent’ suffered by the Ardara man after winning the Sam Maguire Cup in 1992.
Some of these issues are published in detail here in today’s Sunday Independent.
The book is co-written by well-known Donegal News sports reporter, Frank Craig, with a foreword by both Brian McEniff and Jim McGuinness, the two men who led Donegal to All-Ireland glory twenty years apart.
The book is priced at €20 in paperback and €25 in hardback while the e-book will be priced at €9.99.
