A meeting involving a number of agencies is to take place early next week to discuss the distribution of more than €1.1 million raised through the Red Cross Creeslough fund.
The discussion will take place between the Irish Red Cross, Donegal County Council, the HSE, the Department of Social Welfare, and local community organisations.
The distribution of emergency funding has already begun and Red Cross volunteers have met those impacted by the tragedy.
Volunteers have found that access to travel and accommodation are some of the key issues raised by local people.
The Creeslough Community Support Fund was established by the Irish Red Cross in collaboration with An Post and Applegreen to provide rapid and long-term assistance to the Creeslough community.
Meanwhile, a GoFundMe page also set up to aid the disaster fund has raised almost €500,000.
