Donegal-based company Optum has made a huge donation to the fund for the Creeslough disaster.
Optum pledged €100,000 towards the fund which will help the local community in various ways to recover from the tragedy which claimed the lives of ten local people.
A spokesperson for the Irish Red Cross thanked Optum for the generous donation which come son the back of many other local donations which have also been gratefully received.
“The Irish Red Cross is so grateful to Optum, the health care systems provider based in Letterkenny Donegal, who have donated €100,000 to the IRC Creeslough Community Support Fund.
“Thank you for this incredible support for the people of your community, who have been affected so badly by the recent tragedy.
“This donation will have a huge impact on providing the recovery work that will be needed in the weeks and months ahead,” said a spokesperson.
