Naomh Conaill stalwart Marty Boyle was presented with a momento after he marked his 100th senior championship appearance for the Glenties club.
Boyle came on with a few minutes to go as Naomh Conaill eventually overcame the tough challenge of Glenswilly in the SFC quarter final at O’Donnell Park in Letterkenny.
A Naomh Conaill spokesperson said “We had a momentous occasion in O’Donnell Park today as a presentation was made to Marty Boyle by the Naomh Conaill Club to mark Marty’s 100th appearance at senior championship level for the club.
“Marty, who is also our current minor team manager has been a tremendous stalwart and ambassador for the club on and off the field down through the years and we thank him sincerely for his commitment, dedication and loyalty to the blue and white of Naomh Conaill.
“Marty has always worn the jersey with distinction, modesty and pride. A very proud day for Marty and his family and great to see so many of them including his mother Gracie there for the occasion.”
Club chairman Martin Shankey Smith and secretary Muriel Hegarty made the presentation to Marty and his family.
