The owners of a giant cruise ship that recently Visited Killybegs have kindly donated some of its contents to the local community.
The luxury cruiser sailed into the fishing port carrying hundreds of passengers and over crew.
Almost 20 cruise ships have docked in Killybegs this year, with two more expected later in the month.
However, one came bearing gifts for the local Killybegs Community Council!
“Thanks to a kind donation from a cruise ship, Killybegs Community Council are holding a jumble sale in aid of Killybegs Play Park at the Foresters Community Hall this Sunday,” a council spokesperson said.
The sale will be held from 2-6pm and anyone who wishes to sell their own wares are invited to buy a table at the sale for just €10.
The items donated by the ship include: Neoprene fishing waders; Severe weather insulated jackets; Sailing jackets (Yellow); Wellingtons – various designs and sizes, including kids sizes.
The council aims to promote Killybegs through tourism and tidy towns projects that will enhance the community both socially, economically and culturally.
