A sale has been ‘agreed’ on a once-famous west Donegal bar.
The Gweedore Bar on Falcarragh’s Main Street also comes with a former bookshop and a large site.
The property, which was placed on the market in July 2021, has planning permission for a 40 bedroom hotel, complete with large conference/spa facilities.
The sale was handled by local auctioneer, DNG Kelly
“With the nearest hotels being in Gortahork or Dunfanaghy and the surging interest in The Wild Atlantic Way, as well as ever-growing outdoor pursuits activities in the local area, Falcarragh has a huge opening for its own hotel,” the selling agents said.
