The hilarious Butt Drama Circle’s latest comedy is returning this weekend, for one night only.
Tickets are selling like very hot cakes for ‘The Two Loves of Gabriel Foley’ which will be staged at Crossroads Parochial Hall, Killygordon, on Sunday at 8pm in aid of the local Christmas lights fund.
Written by Jimmy Keary, and directed by club member, Susan Doherty, the show played to three packed houses at the Balor Theatre last week.
Dean Gilliespie, Head Elf at the Crossroads Community Christmas Lights Committee, appealed for another packed house at the Cross.
“This is our only fundraiser for the Christmas lights event this year, we want to give you something for your money rather than ask for donations,” he explained.
“Please spread the word – thank you for your continued support.”
The star-studded cast had them rolling in the aisles at the Balor.
The show features some well known faces from many BDC productions over the years, along with some brand new ones!
Some of the more famous cast members include one of Letterkenny’s top comedians, Andy McGranaghan, the lady of Knock, Kathleen McGowan and Glenfin heartthrob, Seamus McCrudden.
The play is about Gabriel, a good solid, salt of the earth farmer and bachelor, who is torn between two women; the vivacious Hazel from the local drama group and the feisty but kind-natured Chrissie, his long time friend and neighbour.
Add to the mix his sharp tongued mother Aggie and Aunt Lucy, will he heed the advice of his well meaning but mischievous friend Luke Gavigan, or keep trying to impress his new friends at the (not quite so local) Drama Group?
Tickets are on sale in Bradley’s Gala, Topline McCeary’s, Brownes Bar and at The Base in Stranorlar.
But hurry, tickets are selling fast – once they are gone, they are gone!
