Hundreds of Donegal Leaving Certificate and Leaving Certificate Applied students are to receive their results tomorrow.
Around 130,000 students nationally sat the exams this year, an increase of 7,000 since the last time a full set of examinations was sat in 2019.
A number of factors have led to a delay in announcing the date for the examination results.
The lack in demand for examiners is one of the primary reasons and another one being the lack of clarity regarding how many students will be sitting a set of deferred exams next months, the marking of which will require additional time.
Results will be issued to students through the Candidate Self Service Portal, available at www.gov.ie/leavingcertificate.
