A kind English couple visited all Donegal RNLI branches last week as part of their Irish fundraising tour in a bright orange Porsche 911.
James and Belinda Richardson first visited Arranmore while undertaking another great challenge of visiting all 75 RNLI Stations in Ireland in 20 days.
The Richardsons (in baseball caps) being welcomed by Arranmore RNLI volunteers.
Local volunteers were taken aback by their kind gesture in memory of the late Arranmore Deputy Coxswain, Lee Early.
They have a sticker with his name on it on the side of their car and also presented the team with a beautiful, framed tribute to him.
Lee (26) passed away in November, 2019, following a tragic drowning incident.
“Best of luck from LOM – Tony, Cox – Jimmy and all the team at Arranmore RNLI guys, and thank you for your kind gesture to an absent friend,” read a post on the Arranmore RNLI page.
The couple also visited the Lough Swilly RNLI Station in Buncrana (main pic) on Tuesday, with kind sponsorship from the Calnan family.
They are driving anti clockwise round Ireland in their 911 to raise funds and awareness of the RNLI.
Keep an eye out for them in their Orange Porsche 911 on the west coast over the next few days.
