DMRT introduce two newly qualified members

After a year of intensive training, Donegal Mountain Rescue Team (DMRT) graduated two new members at the weekend.

As part of a team training exercise, they also had an assessment day for two of their probationary members.

After a written paper and assessment, the new members were asked to carry out various tasks.

These included operating the team’s Tetra Radios, demonstrating to the team rope knots that they use and explaining what different members of a hasty team carry on a call out. 

“We are very pleased to now welcome, after over a year’s training, Lee and Brian to full team members. Congratulations!,” a DMRT spokesperson said.
