Happy retirement wishes are pouring in for a respected priest and community leader, Fr Seán Ó Gallchóir.
The Gort a’ Choirce parish priest retires after 51 years in the priesthood.
A native of Derrybeg, Fr Seán never moved too far from his homeplace, where he is deeply connected to almost all aspects of the community.
Fr Seán was ordained in June 1971 and spent almost all of his ministry in Donegal, serving in Falcarragh and Cnoc Fola before being stationed in Gortahork since 1999.
