A Waterford woman who took a chance in the Letterkenny Rugby Club and Letterkenny Gaels GAA campervan draw returned to claim her big prize today!
Both clubs recently ran the initiative to raise funds to help with the development of their shared facilities at the Glebe. The draw was a huge success with tickets sold both locally and nationally.
Breeda Brett bought the winning ticket, just days before the draw, while visiting her sister Joan Rodgers in Annagry.
Ms Brett travelled from Dungarvan this weekend to collect her winnings – a massive cheque for €70,000.
She was accompanied by some of her family, including her daughters Cathy Dunne and Laura Burns and sons in law, Seamus Burns and Cathal Dunne.
Members of the clubs welcomed the Dungarvan family at the Glebe to make the presentation.
“Both Letterkenny Gaels GAA Club and Letterkenny Rugby Club wish Breeda and her family all the best and, once again, take this opportunity to thank everyone for supporting them with the draw.”
