Last week, California State Assembly Member James Gallagher paid a courtesy visit to the Letterkenny Public Service Centre.
Mr Gallagher met with the Mayor of the Letterkenny Milford Municipal District Cllr. Donal Mandy Kelly.
Mr Gallagher is a member of the California State Assembly and is on a trade visit to Ireland.
He took the opportunity with his family to visit Donegal, because of family links to Sallaghagrane in Letterkenny.
During the visit a number of key areas were discussed including Housing, Economic Development and Rural Broadband.
Also involved in the meeting was Pádraig Mac Lochlainn TD, Cllr Gerry McMonagle and Eamonn Brown (Housing & Corporate Area Manager).
The visit also provided an opportunity for Council to showcase what Donegal has to offer as a great place to visit, to live, to work and to do business in.
