It was McGuinness’ 3rd goal in as many games and sixth of the season.
But the lead didn’t last long as Bryce Reynolds headed the equaliser after a corner from Lynsey McKey in the 8th minute.
And on 33 minutes, Sligo were ahead again as McGuinness turned provider with her corner to the back post which fell to an unmarked Emma Doherty.
The Buncrana woman headed the ball back across goal into the roof of the net for her seventh of the league campaign.

Again, the bit O’Red couldn’t keep the lead for longer than five minutes as Ellie O’Flaherty fired the ball in off the bar after great work by Julie-Anne Russell which would see it finish 2-2 at the end of the first half.
It took Galway just six minutes to take the lead as Shauna Brennan got on the end of a Jamie Erickson free to flick over Sligo ‘keeper Amy Mahon.
Brennan then returned the favour when Erickson made it 4-2 with a flicked header from a Brennan free.
And Becky Walsh ended the game as a contest with Galway’s fourth header of the game from another McKey corner.
Alana Doherty from Clonmany and Buncrana’s Paula McGrory also started for the Sligo Rovers side.
