A litter dumper has been identified dumping material in one of Donegal’s most scenic wooded areas.
A vigilant local person spotted a car dumping the above haul of rubbish at at Lis na Grá woods in Muff.
The litter warden with Donegal County Council was contacted and began in investigation.
The waste has been examined and despite efforts to conceal the identity of the perpetrators a name and address has been recovered .
An O2 bill was also recovered displaying a mobile number. Donegal County Council will subsequently be issuing a fixed penalty fine to an address in the North close to the border.
Local county councillor Terry Crossan has thanked all involved for bringing the issue to a close.
