Taoiseach Micheál Martin was in Letterkenny this morning to welcome an earlier announcement that FinTrU is to create 300 jobs in the town.
The tech company has announced the establishment of a European Delivery Centre in Letterkenny.
The jobs will be created over the next five years.
Established in 2013 and headquartered in Belfast, the company designs technology-enabled solutions for Investment Banks across the world.

“FinTrU’s announcement that it’s creating 300 jobs, providing new opportunities in Letterkenny, Donegal and the North West is wonderful news,” An Toiseach said.
“Ireland has established itself as a leading global financial services centre and we are committed to building on this success.
“The new positions announced today by FinTrU are testament to the company’s growth and achievements, as it invests in, and benefits from, skills and talent from across the whole island. I wish FinTrU many more years of continued success in their operations here.”

Meanwhile Minister for Agriculture, Charlie McConalogue, has given a huge welcome to the announcement by FinTru.
“We have an educated, highly motivated and committed workforce in the region and it is no surprise that FinTru is the latest in line of companies who have chosen Donegal and, specifically, Letterkenny as the location of their expansions,” Minister McConalogue said.
“ It was great to have An Taoiseach on hand to make the announcement underlining the government’s commitment to the region.”
