A Dunfanaghy teacher was one of a group of 21 Irish primary school teachers who visited Brussels this week.
Cáit Ní Chuireáin is principal at Ballymore National School and had the pleasure of seeing both European Commission and the European Parliament.
Ms Ní Chuireáin had an opportunity to sit down with Ms Mairead McGuinness and other Irish MEPs.
The group also visited the Permanent Representation of Ireland to the EU.
The teachers participate in the Blue Star Programme, run by European Movement Ireland, which teaches primary school children about the European Union.
The programme is funded by the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and supported by the European Commission and the European Parliament.
