An old church, which was constructed with solid stone over 140 years ago, has finally been sold.
The Castlefin Church has been deconsecrated in recent years and was placed on the property market for offers in excess of €85,000
Selling agent, Martin McGowan, confirmed this week that the property has finally been sold.
“It took three attempts, but we got it sold and closed this week. It’s a good job I’m stubborn,” he posted on his Martin McGowan Properties Facebook page.
“Good luck to the new owner. I have no doubt it will make a fabulous project.”

The former Congregational Church of Ireland, which appears to have had a sound basic structure, has decent road frontage, beautiful mature trees to the front, with electricity and water on site.
Other features of the property include chamfered lancet windows with latticed stain glazing and a wooden pulpit and altar area.
