Pat Spillane is quitting RTE’s The Sunday Game after 30 years of service to the programme.
The Kerry legend made the shock announcement at the start of this afternoon’s show.
Spillane’s final appearance on the programme will be on All-Ireland final day on July 24th, unless the game goes to a replay.
The eight-time All-Ireland winner joined the programme in 1992 and enjoyed a two year period from 2004-2006 hosting the show.
